
The faint golden light filtered softly through the still-drawn curtains, spreading a tender glow that slowly crept across Navika's face. Her eyelids fluttered as the disturbance broke her sleep, her vision blurred until the golden rays brightened it. Irritated by the sudden intrusion, she immediately raised her hand to shield her face.
With sluggish, unsteady movements, she pushed herself upright from the bed, her gaze wandering around the silent room. For a while she just sat there, staring blankly, until the realization hit her like a cold wave-she was alone. No one was there. Not even Shaurya. Her eyes instinctively moved toward the baby bed tucked neatly in the corner of the room-their room now. Empty. Ekansh wasn't there.
